Welcome to the HRI News Blog! – Faces Not Forgotten

Hello and  welcome to the Hunger Reduction International news blog! As blog manager, I will be keeping you informed on various articles regarding Somalia. Last evening, I had the opportunity to check out some amazing photography at an event called ” Photoville” located at the Annenberg Space for photography in Los Angeles.  To my surprise I was happy to see an exhibit called ” Faces Not Forgotten” related to the people of Somalia.

Faces not Forgotten – offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of Somalis living in Somaliland, a nation shrouded in misconceptions and myths. These photographs present the humanity of and in these faces. The goal of this project is to provide people with the opportunity to see past the headlines and see the faces of those living in the margins.

You can read more about the Muna Malik, the photographer behind this exhibit at: http://www.forfreedoms.org

Stay tuned for more articles to be uploaded weekly on Saturday and Wednesdays.

Ciao!
